Photography Guide

Here is a guide to become a professional photographer……

  1. Buy a camera; to become a good photographer you need to have a good camera that allows you to take good pictures and to create good images
  1. Learn how to use the camera; before you can take any good photos, you need to know how to take your own and to create your own photos
  1. Take practice photos; before you can start to do shoots you might want to take practice shoots to get familiar with taking photos and being able to take good photos. And by doing this for your first job you won’t be as nervous and be confident with what you are doing
  1. Your first job; when you get your first job it is something that you will be nervous to do and to do something that you are good at. This is also where you become a professional because you are getting paid for it and it is your first job as a photographer.

This is only a little guide to become a photographer, but it is something that will help you become a photographer. Its short and sweet but it is something that will help you with becoming a professional and to get a job as a photographer.

Learn

We all must start somewhere; meaning when learning photography, you have to pick up a camera and take a photo and that is where your passion starts. Every photographer starts their journey by picking up a camera and taking a photo of something that caught their eye. Now most of the time your first photo might not be the best, but it started your passion for something that you realized you love to do. We learn by keep practicing and not giving up when something goes wrong…

Learning photography is difficult at times because you think that it is easy to just pick up a camera and take a picture but what you don’t know is that you have to set it up for certain things for your photo to turn out good. Like…

  • Lighting
  • Aperture
  • Exposure
  • Location
  • What lens you are using

These are just a couple of things that photographers need to know when wanting to be a photographer and what to do while taking photos. All these things are needed when becoming a photographer and to find out how to work a camera and what to do with it.

What is Your Purpose?

I got asked this question once and had to think about it for a while and what was my purpose, so what is your purpose? When thinking about this you don’t really think about it on a day to a day basis. Think about your purpose try and think about all the times growing up someone would ask you what you want to be when you grow up and think why you would choose that. That kind of ties into your purpose because that is what you strive to do one day and be. A lot of time your purpose is what you strive to do in life and what you want to make out of it. Your purpose in life is how you choose to live it and make out of it because you only live once.

Professional vs Hobby

Photography is one of those professions that you either take seriously or you take it as a “side job”, we do this because it’s one of those professions that are not your regular day-to-day job. It’s easy to say that anyone can pick up a camera and take a photo but it’s who is taking the photo and how good of photo it is. Nowadays we can just pick up our phone and take a picture and post it and it might look good but it’s not professional. I’m here to tell you the difference and give you a couple reasons as to why it is the way it is.

ten things to know about photography

Before you go into photography there are a couple things to know that could help you become a successful photographer or just help you have a better understanding of what you are getting into. Photography is a pretty easy thing to learn because you are pretty much just taking photos of something that is in front of you. But there are some things that will help your photos look professional and to make them look better without having to edit them. So here I have come up with ten things that will help you become a professional photographer….

  1. Being Confident

When becoming a photographer, you are going to struggle at your first session, but everyone has been there, you learn from your mistakes and do it all over again. It will not be an easy process because you have a client that are paying you for these photos for them to post them on social media and tag your name to it. You just need to be confident in what you are creating and know your work it good and the client will love it and share it so your name will be out there. It is also to act confident even if you don’t feel like it; “fake it until you make it”, you need to feel confident for your work to be good and inspirational.

Capturing a Story in a Single Image

Capturing the Image

The whole purpose of being a photographer is to capture a single image that tells a story, being photographer means the whole point the job is to catch a story. When taking a photo, you are looking at your scene and waiting for that exact moment that says it all. To feel inspired and to know that you got that the perfect shot, which is what we strive for. A single image that you can capture can say it all, the emotion, the feeling, and the sneer y. Being a photographer in every shoot that you have you strive to have that perfect shot that can show anyone looking at it that it was that one. Where you see emotion in a person’s expression, and how they are feeling just by looking at a single image.
