I got asked this question once and had to think about it for a while and what was my purpose, so what is your purpose? When thinking about this you don’t really think about it on a day to a day basis. Think about your purpose try and think about all the times growing up someone would ask you what you want to be when you grow up and think why you would choose that. That kind of ties into your purpose because that is what you strive to do one day and be. A lot of time your purpose is what you strive to do in life and what you want to make out of it. Your purpose in life is how you choose to live it and make out of it because you only live once.
Your purpose in life is what you make it out to be, how you choose to live your life and what you make out of it. So how does this tie into photography; well, for me it’s to captures someone’s purpose in a photo and be able to capture that. For me, it’s not that photography isn’t my purpose but it’s a hobby for me and not a full-time job. That means I want to capture someone’s purpose in life while taking their photo and be able to show them just how special they are. We are all put on this Earth for a purpose and that is why there are only one of us and how unique we are. So being able to capture someone’s purpose and see that emotion and capture a story in just one image.
By having a purpose in life, it brings you something to always strive to be or to go for, when you have a purpose you tend to be more involved in life and always striving to be the best that you can be. Bringing this back to photography; if your purpose is to be the best you can always improve and try and make that happen by keeping up with photographers and your sessions that you have and to keep your skills up. It also can tie into if you want to be a photographer, or if you are just trying to try something new there is always a purpose. And that can also tie into life, that there is always a purpose for you.
